NOCTUA Sentinel

Sensors on site. Events in the case.

Sentinel measures light, vibration, sound, motion, and Wi-Fi and Bluetooth activity on your site. Raw data stays on site. Only deviations are passed to NOCTUA, where you, or we, follow along in real time.

In pilot operation Sentinel is in pilot operation with its first customer.

How it works

  1. The towers measure

Each tower measures light, vibration, sound, motion, and Wi-Fi and Bluetooth activity in its area.

  2. The gateway sorts locally

Readings are collected and compared on site. What's normal stays there.

  3. Deviations are passed on

As bounded events with time, sensor and position. Nothing else leaves the site.

  4. The event becomes a finding

In NOCTUA the event lands in the site's case, where it's assessed, linked and reported like any other finding.

What Sentinel measures

Light
Light where there shouldn't be any. A torch in a dark area, a door opening onto a lit room.
Vibration
Movement in fences, gates, cabinets and structures.
Sound
Deviations from the site's normal sound picture.
Motion
Movement in areas that should be empty at certain times.
Wi-Fi
Wireless devices and networks that appear in the area and aren't normally there. Including hidden networks that don't broadcast their name, which can be a sign of equipment someone doesn't want found.
Bluetooth
Bluetooth devices (BLE) nearby. Phones, trackers and wearables that don't belong on site.

Covers what the cameras don't see

Sentinel sits on top of cameras, alarm systems and guards. It watches the long fences, the far corners and the hours when nobody is looking at the screens.

Because events land in a case rather than in yet another alarm console, they add up over time. Three small events at the same fence on three consecutive nights are a pattern. On their own they look like false alarms.

We own the equipment. You get the monitoring.

Sentinel is delivered as a service. Parallax owns the hardware, installs it and keeps it running. The equipment runs on batteries for 6–12 months and the gateway has its own 4G/5G connection, so you provide neither power nor access to your network. The base package is one gateway and one tower, and larger areas are covered with more towers. One site is one case in NOCTUA, however many towers it has.

Who it's for

Facilities and areas with a perimeter that needs watching: utilities, industry, logistics, ports and mining.

Apply for a pilot

A pilot is one site for a fixed period. Tell us about the site and we'll come back with a proposed setup.
